SABIC Innovative Plastics Powers Peugeot Forward with Local Support and High-Performance Automotive Materials for its New 408 Griffe Sedan

SÃO PAULO, Brazil — May 16, 2011 — At Brasilplast 2011 in booth E50/F51, SABIC Innovative Plastics showcased the new Peugeot 408 Griffe medium-compact sedan with four applications using its high-performance materials: the front fenders and fuel filler door molded from Noryl GTX* resin; a front-end module using SABIC® STAMAX® long glass fiber polypropylene resin; Cycoloy* resin for interior applications; and Cycolac* resin for external appliqués. These four high-performance materials were selected by Peugeot for its new sedan for the exceptional design freedom, toughness, weight reduction, quality and safety enhancements they provide. Peugeot also chose SABIC Innovative Plastics materials for its proven ability to help automotive OEMs meet changing market demands and tightening environmental regulations.
