SÃO PAULO, Brazil — May 10, 2011 — SABIC Innovative Plastics is again demonstrating its industry leadership here at Brasilplast 2011 where the company is highlighting in booth E50/F51 two cutting-edge materials technologies for sports stadium construction. These include flame-retardant, ultraviolet (UV)-stabilized Valox* resin for stadium seating, which meets stringent new requirements of the Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas (ABNT) for open and closed stadiums, and new Ultra-Stiff Lexan* Thermoclear* sheet for roofing and glazing. These products significantly enhance attendee safety and comfort; provide greater design freedom; and comply with tightening environmental regulations vs. traditional materials.
