World-Leading Glass Fiber Reinforcements Producer Owens Corning Reveals Semi-Finalists for the Composite App Challenge

BEIJING, Sept. 15, 2010– Owens Corning (NYSE:OC), a leading global producer of glass fiber reinforcements for composite systems and residential and commercial building materials, today announced the semi-finalists for the company’s Composite App Challenge, a global competition launched in April to find new applications for composite materials. Names of the 40 semi-finalists were announced at China Composites Expo in Beijing and posted on the competition Web site. Winners will be announced in February 2011, at the trade show hosted by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA) in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. USA.
