SABIC Innovative Plastics’ Global Healthcare Specialist, Thomas O’Brien, to be a Featured Speaker at AMI International Conference in Philadelphia

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Aug. 31, 2010 — SABIC Innovative Plastics today announced that Thomas O’Brien, global product marketing director for healthcare, will be a featured speaker at the AMI International Conference, Medical Grade Polymers 2010, in Philadelphia, PA., Sept. 14-15, 2010. O’Brien will speak on Tuesday, Sept. 14 at 11:10 a.m. and will discuss major healthcare industry trends – including component miniaturization, portability, cost-out and patient/staff safety – and how these trends are driving the development and selection of new high-end thermoplastic resins and compounds. O’Brien will also present case studies on several new innovative devices using SABIC Innovative Plastics’ thermoplastic technologies to illustrate how specialty materials are helping OEMs succeed in the increasing competitive global healthcare arena.
