SABIC is First Company in History of PLASTPOL to be Honored with Two Awards for Best Material Ingenuity and Best Stand Design

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — June 1, 2012 — At PLASTPOL 2012, Poland’s largest international plastics and rubber processing exhibition, SABIC became the first company in the event’s 16-year history to win two awards, highlighting the company’s culture of ingenuity and history of successful innovation. Specifically, SABIC received the coveted Best Material Ingenuity award for its globally renowned Valox iQ* resin, which promotes sustainability by incorporating up-cycled post-consumer polyethylene terephthalate (PET) water bottles. In addition, the company’s impressive, two-story, 130-square-meter exhibit (stand E-7) was honored with Best Stand Design. These prestigious awards underscore SABIC’s focus on continuously challenging the status quo with better ways to serve its customers around the world.
