MANNHEIM, Germany — March 17, 2010 — SABIC Innovative Plastics today announced here at the VDI conference the opening of its new Exatec Research & Development (R&D) Center in Bangalore, India. The new center is dedicated to the development of scratch- and abrasion-resistant technologies for high-performance automotive glazing applications. Simultaneously, the company launched its newest scratch and abrasion evaluation capabilities to be housed at the state-of-the-art center. These technologies include new methods and processes to differentiate, measure, test and prevent surface damage to polycarbonate (PC) glazing.
